Position Vacant - Assistant Coordinator Outside School Hours Care

CCC LogoA great opportunity exists for an experienced Educator to work as an Assistant Coordinator within our Outside School Hours Care Service.


The Assistant Coordinator will assist the Coordinator with the day to day operations of the Centre and will take on the responsibilities of the Coordinator and Nominated Supervisor in their absence.
This role will interest those who have a passion in providing quality child care and who has an understanding the requirements to meet the necessary regulations, including the National Quality Standard.
You and other staff members will provide recreational activities and care for children 5-12 years of age and support the OSHC staff in documenting the children’s learning against the My Time Our Place outcomes. 
Developing and maintaining meaningful and respectful relationships are vital to our work and constant attention must be paid to these relationships with children, members of their family, the centre team and management.
The successful applicant will join a friendly team of educators, who enjoy a happy and united community based atmosphere.
This position works a 17.5 hour week during school terms and 35 hours per week during school vacations.
Essential Criteria
  • Degree or Diploma/Certificate in education, Childcare or equivalent
  • Experience in working with children aged 5-12 years and sound understanding of the needs of 5-12 year old children
  • Sound knowledge of current Child Protection Legislation
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current NSW Driver Licence
  • Effective complaints handling skills and experience
  • Working with Children Check Clearance

  • Computer literacy
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Excellent Organisational skills
  • Awareness of cross cultural issues
  • Community language
  • LR Licence

Salary is within the range of $29.42 to $30.76 per hour.
