A fantastic opportunity exists for a skilled and experienced Plant Driver/Operator to join our Waste & Cleaning Team to work night shift.
Our Waste & Cleaning Department provides essential high quality services to both our residents and local businesses across our Town Centres and City.  Our dedicated Waste & Cleaning Teams ensure the standards expected by the local community are met or exceeded across the City.
As a Plant Driver/Operator, you will operate sweeping plant / equipment collecting litter from town centres, streets and lanes, providing cleansing services to the local community in accordance with the daily schedule and/or as directed by management.
You will also conduct plant and equipment inspections on a daily basis and ensure all equipment is maintained in a safe and roadworthy condition at all times, ensuring all defects are reported to your supervisor immediately.
The successful applicant will be expected to work effectively as part of a team and have the ability to follow maps and written instructions and be prepared to work a  5 over 7 day roster.
Essential Criteria
  • Current MR licence
  • Ability to work night shift
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to follow maps and written instruction
  • Mechanical sweeper operating experience
Desirable Criteria
  • Effective complaints handling skills and experience
  • Experience in the areas of waste collection and street cleaning
  • Mechanical scrubber experience
