Applications are now open for 2011.

 

Local community groups are encouraged to apply for a share of $90,000 through Council's 2011 Financial Assistance Program.

 

Community groups and associations contribute enormously to our City and this grants program is one way that Council can help them to continue the great work they do in supporting local residents.

 

Community groups are eligible for up to $2,000 each with priority given to non-profit voluntary organisations and innovative community development projects. Funding is also available for decorations for community celebrations and festivals.      

 

We established the Financial Assistance Program in 1992 to lend a hand to local non-profit community groups and, since then we've distributed more than $700,000 in funding.

 

Last year, we funded 83 different organisations for various projects to support the elderly, children, people with disabilities, women, youth and multicultural services.
