The Mayor of the City of Canterbury, Cr Robert Furolo MP, said students will benefit from a range of HSC talks at Campsie Library covering a range of topics including History and English and even ways to stress less during exams.
"The HSC seems like a daunting task for students and parents alike," Mayor Robert Furolo said.

"The stress can be overwhelming and getting the right support is really important to doing your best during the HSC.

"With the help of our library, completing the HSC has been made easier with a range of talks designed to help students with their studies.

"The talks cover a range of topics lead by the best in the industry and will give students an edge with their studies.

"I encourage students to take part in these talks to help them achieve some great results," Mayor Robert Furolo said.

Join Peter Skrzynecki , poet and subject experts Larry Grumley  Denis Moontz, and Patrice Simpson in a series of 'HSC Talks' Students sitting for the NSW Higher School Certificate exam 2011 will benefit from this series of free talks at Campsie Library.
  • Poetry in the life of Peter SkrzyneckiThursday May 5 - Peter Skrzynecki talks about 'Belonging' in his poetry.
  • History, Ancient and ModernThursday May 12 - Denis Moontz, Senior lecturer, HSC marker and author will talk about the study of Ancient and Modern History. 
  • English, HSC texts and essays
    Thursday May 19 - Larry Grumley, Senior English teacher, Senior HSC marker and author will discuss HSC texts and essay writing.
  • Society and Culture
    Thursday 26 May - Patrice Simpson, Head teacher and Senior HSC marker will talk about society and culture in the HSC.
All sessions run from 5.00pm-7pm at Campsie Library, 14-28 Amy Street, Campsie. Admission is free. Bookings are essential on 9789 9423.
